About the Medical Clinic

North Jefferson Imaging is a full-service, stand-alone diagnostic imaging center in Gardendale, led by C. Michael Mead, M.D., a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with over 25 years of experience.

North Jefferson Imaging has been serving Jefferson County and surrounding areas since 2007. North Jefferson Imaging is one of three centers Dr. C. Michael Mead owns and operates. Our center sets itself apart from other free-standing centers in the area by providing FULL MULTI MODALITY services. We provide an array of services that others do not which provides our patients with “one stop shopping” for diagnostic services. No other free-standing centers in the area provide MRI/MRA/MRE, CT/CTA, 3D Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound and X-Ray, all under the same roof! Our technologists and
staff are friendly and knowledgeable and provide excellent care for all of our patients.

We are proud to be one of the only imaging centers in the state of Alabama that offers the Genius™ 3D Mammography™ Exam which utilizes the new 3Dimensions™ Mammography system - the fastest, highest resolution and most accurate breast tomosynthesis system ever created.

Additionally we use state-of-the-art MRI, MRA, CT, CTA, DXA, ultrasound, and X-ray technologies to provide patients with precise, accurate and timely results.
